French companies eyeing big role in Saudi entertainment industry

Major French companies expressed their interest in accessing the Saudi market and investing in the tourism and entertainment market at a time at a time when the kingdom is fast emerging as an international destination for tourists and visitors from across the globe in light of the contribution of the Kingdom Vision 2030 to this important economic sector.
 
The officials of these French companies also believed that by setting up their headquarters in Riyadh they could  maximize their benefits from these opportunities, reported SPA.
 
These remarks came as the Federation of Saudi Chambers, represented by the Saudi-French Business Council, welcomed several French businesspeople and specialized companies in entertainment fields, in the presence of presidents of the two sides of the business council Dr. Mohammad bin Laden and Laurent Germain, and several businesspeople from the two countries.
 
Germain said that Saudi Arabia had amazed the world with the entertainment industry within a short period of time.
 
He also commended the outstanding development of the entertainment sector in Saudi Arabia in light of the Kingdom Vision 2030 and the mega projects that are being developed.
 
Attendees of the meeting listened to a briefing on the entertainment sector in the Kingdom and the top developments that the sector has witnessed over the past few years, including the entertainment seasons, cinema, and other entertainment events that attracted millions of visitors from inside and outside the country.
 
Germain said: "It has amazed the world and provided big investment opportunities for major French companies that can, through their expertise, contribute to further developing this sector and realizing its targets and also open their headquarters in Riyadh to maximize benefits from these opportunities."
 
"Both Saudi and France have strong economic relations in light of a supportive political will through the exchanged visits of the leaders and officials of the two countries," he stated.
 
Vice President of the French side at the council Engineer Fayez Al Alweit referred to the developments the sector is witnessing in the kingdom and the exceptional opportunities that it provides for foreign investors, expressing aspiration for a big cooperation in this field between the two countries.
